Biographical Sketch

Anna joins the Stream Ecology Center in January 2025 as a Master’s student advised by Dr. Baxter. She graduated from Yale University in 2021 with a degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. Since then, Anna has led a peripatetic life conducting seasonal stream ecology work all across the Western United States. After working in over 300 different rivers and streams, Anna is looking forward to diving into the particular world of Big Creek in the Frank Church Wilderness. Her Master’s work will focus on how landscape-scale processes drive community structure in Big Creek, with a focus on the reciprocal fluxes in the zone of interaction between the river and its surrounding forest. In her free time, you are likely to find Anna on some misadventure involving a boat, a bike, a rope, or a backpack.
