What is a Classified Postion?

A Classified job is a state position/employee that works at Idaho State University. The salary ranges are determined by the Idaho Department of Human Resources, as are the steps in the hiring process. The vast majority of Classified employees are paid an hourly rate, and must report all hours worked on their timesheets. I need to hire quickly. What's the shortest amount of time I can have a job posted for recruitment?

The Idaho Division of Human Resources requires that a position is open for recruitment for a minimum of one (1) business week, or five (5) business days. The search committee/hiring manager can choose to have a position open for the minimum, or longer, depending on the needs of the department.
