Extra Points
All absences are unexcused unless they are for an ISU sponsored. Students can complete the pre-approved extra point activities to earn a set maximum of points that can be used to offset the points they may potentially miss. These assignments need to be completed by the due date shown in Moodle.
A. Terms & Definitions
- Handwrite the definitions of the terms found at the end of each unit.
- Upload images (only .jpeg, .tiff, .gif, .doc, or .pdf files will be accepted) of the handwritten definitions to Moodle before the due date.
- If the student accurately defines the terms in their handwriting for that unit, they will receive extra points per term list.
- Must be completed by the final Moodle submission date and time using the assigned materials. They will not be reopened.
B. Lab Notebook
Students are required to maintain a lab notebook. They will bring a 3-ring binder to lab to create a laboratory notebook consisting of the 1) lab syllabus, 2) lab manual (all completed and to-be completed task sheets), 3) their assigned journal article, and 4) handwritten unit terms. The lab instructor will review the notebook each week and points will be awarded. The completed notebook will be turned in during lab 15.
C. Instructor feedback (1101L/2227L only)
- Students complete the instructor feedback form.
- The instructor feedback form is anonymous and is intended to help the instructor tailor their approach and make appropriate changes in the lab during the semester that is in progress.
- Remember the form is anonymous and the student responses will not be linked to the student name when viewed by the instructor.
D. IMNH
Student goes to the IMNH and takes a picture of themselves next to their favorite display.
E.

F.Seminar Summary (1102L only)
